Any kid growing up in the mid 80’s and early 90’s remembers the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Whether it was the tv show or some of the more memerable movies, we all loved the various ninja turtles and their awesome personalities.

Leonardo, my personal favorite, was the turtle in the blue mask that weilded double katanas. Sometimes refered to as uptight, Leonardo was the “responsible” turtle that always looked out for the groups safety and general best interests.
Leonardo was named after Italian painter Leonardo Di Vinci.
Donetello carried a massive bo-staff as dawned the purple mask. He is the “smart guy” and will look for any reason to avoid conflict. As a scientist, Donetello is always looking for ways to make life easier for the group of turtles.

Michelangelo is by the fan favorite of all the turtles. Not only is always looking for an opportunity to grab a slice of pizza he carries around with him nunchucks! Michelangelo dawns the orange mask and is the goofiest of all the turtle clan.
Michelangelo was named after the Italian artist Michelangelo di Lodovico – best known for his statue of David.
Rapheal, dawning the red mask, is the trouble maker of the group. Always looking for trouble and never thinking twice before jumping into a fight. Rapheal carries a set of “sai” which are japanese in origin.
Rapheal, like the other turtles was named after Italian painter: Rapheal.
